The team are first given a set amount of time to design and build the raft, plan their tactics and practice technique.
Once this time is over the race begins. Each team starts at either end of the river they must row up to the other teams start point, turn around and paddle back.
Once at their original start point they must swap over team mates and and repeat again.
The winning team is the first to have completely deconstructed their craft, all the kit back as found and all life jackets and helmets off.
Planning, efficient time management and communication our vital to become the winning team. The races are always highly frantic affairs with alot of laughs gauranteed.
Garlands have showers and changing rooms on site which can be used if someone takes a dunk, but more than often falling in can be avoided!
