The 4x4 off road driving session commences with a safety briefing and introduction to the vehicle, followed by an explanation of the basic driving techniques and by a demonstration drive by the instructor. Then it's your turn to drive!
Assessing the route on foot before driving is important when taking a 4x4 vehicle over off road terrain as visibility is restricted once you are in the driving seat. Starting slowly over a few easy obstacles the course then becomes more demanding and really tests your nerve.
Our instructors are experienced at working with complete beginners as well as drivers who have already tried 4x4 driving and wish to hone their skills using the different techniques in both the high and low ratio gearbox.
